Main Stories

1. SaucerSwap Rockets Upwards
This Hedera DEX has experienced some powerful momentum heading into 2024, cementing themselves in the top 25 DEXs. The Hedera DeFi landscape has been a very tough space, especially in a bear. The SaucerSwap team has emerged battle-hardened with a solid roadmap and some really great numbers to share:$70M TVL, 1.95M+ trades, $260M+ trade volume and a $45M market cap alongside a 350% rise in the price of SAUCE, the platforms native token. They also reflect on 2023 and we talk about it all, read more here.

2. So, Who Is WISeKey?
With a recent grant and investment from The Hashgraph Association, this Swiss-based holding company pops up on my radar for companies to watch in the Hedera orbit. WISeKey has a subsidiary WISe.ART that is doing a few exciting things on Hedera: launching a luxury physical/digital NFT marketplace and minting shares of that company as NFTs. Furthermore the other subsidiaries of WISeKey offer compelling potential use cases for Hedera, like satelites, IoT and cyber security. With their foot in the door, I suspect WISeKey will be exploring Hedera even more. Read the press release here.

3. HBAR Holders: Watch This in 2024
I asked Hedera community members what they suggest HBAR holders watch for in 2024 and the answers are pretty clear: community nodes, new GC members and use cases, regulatory shakeups, network revenue and new projects and startups in the ecosystem. It really is time to look at the bigger picture heading into this new year and understand how all these components fit together.

4. Auditable points on HCS with Patches
Patches from TurtleMoon stops by the show to chat about autidable points on Hedera, specifically HCS-20, a new standard coming to the ecosystem. Essentially, it allows points to be minted using HCS and for them to be transferred amongst users, the difference being you don't create a new economy as you would with a fungible token. It's a piece of infrastructure that could be used by Bitcoin Ordinals projects, or could be used by your neighbourhood gas station reward points system. It was really great to get all the details on this and we can expect more information on it later this week.

Hashgraph Enthusiasts is a weekly live show covering popular, important topics in the Hedera ecosystem and hosting conversations with creators, founders and leaders in the community. Hosted by Brandon Davenport, a builder, creator and musician in the Hedera ecosystem.
